Biography

Jess Bartlet is an accomplished songwriter, music producer, and mix-engineer experienced in Logic, Ableton, and Pro-Tools and based at Strongroom Studios in London.
​
In 2020 Jess was a PRS ReBalance producer/engineer with otta at Leeds Old Chapel studios in 2020. She also assisted on studio engineering sessions at The Church Studios.
A prolific collaborator, Jess has recently produced, (mix-)engineered and written on songs with Moglii, Dominic J Wright, Jemima Coulter, Malena Zavala, Wyldest, Oliver Say, otta, and Alex Kozobolis.​

In 2019 Jess was the Recipient of MathWorks! Audio Engineering Society fellowship bursary.
​
In 2023 Jess studied poetry and writing at the Faber Academy and Warman School for 12 weeks.
Jess is an active member of 2% rising, Red Bull's Normal Not Novelty engineering and production initiative, as well as the TCC. Jess is also a member of the MPG.

When she is not making music Jess can be found occasionally writing and editing in music magazines, with a previous editorial residency at EARMILK, or giving educational talks such as her 2022 sold out talk on "Data Sonification " from the ARTS Council funded "We Move" series with Music Hackspace.
